Computrace - Eliminating it on a Dell Optiplex.

    i just reprogram with ch341a programmer the bios from a clean dump..

    Well you're clearly the man, but ... you have instructions? Obviously I'd prefer to have this thing completely gone, rather than just so-called "Disabled".

    Just looking at that device .... You removed the eprom from the board??

    Just ordered a ch341a in ebay. LL you can use a clip to read/flash the chip while it's connected to the board?

    Then, did you extract the BIOS/EC from the Dell .exe?

    And, is it possible to edit the BIOS and just eliminate all traces of Computrace? Then flash that?

    cant extract bios from exe as its missing DMI data.. i use others backup .bin file with no computrace activated..
    to use clip u might have to add 3.3 Volt to the VCC pin.
    i just desolder it with a touch of flux.
