Hello, I thought there are only three different Versions out of "Windows 8.1 with Update" available. So in my case: Windows 8.1 with Update (1.) Core/ (2.) Professional: de_windows_8.1_with_update_x86_dvd_4048128.iso de_windows_8.1_with_update_x64_dvd_4048209.iso Windows 8.1 with Update (3.) Enterprise: de_windows_8.1_enterprise_with_update_x86_dvd_4050413.iso de_windows_8.1_enterprise_with_update_x64_dvd_4048633.iso But now I see there are VL-Versions of (3.1) Core/ (3.2) Professional available as well: de_windows_8.1_professional_vl_with_update_x86_dvd_4048688.iso de_windows_8.1_professional_vl_with_update_x64_dvd_4050427.iso So now I'm a little bit confused because I thought there are no VL-Editions of the Core and Professional Editions and only the Enterprise-Edition is a VL-Edition. The activation of Windows 7 was possible over KMS, no matter what version I had installed. I never heard of a "Windows 7 XXX VL Version". So what is the difference between the Non-VL and VL of Windows 8.1 Core and Professional? Greetings ENF
Nearly correct. Code: de_windows_8.1_professional_vl_with_update_x86_dvd_4048688.iso de_windows_8.1_professional_vl_with_update_x64_dvd_4050427.iso In opposite to the non-vl ISO this is Professional only. All Windows versions with VOLUME_KMSCLIENT license channel can be activated by KMS. Win 7 >> Professional and Enterprise only Win 8/8.x >> all versions
