I've been following some of the releases lately, and I find it hard to understand all the versions coming out. 14.0.4763.1000_ProfessionalPlus_volume_ship_combo_en-us_dvd.iso Is this the version that will be found in the shelves? Is this the version that there will be made cracks for (no 180 day renewal), and considered the final product? I don't want to download and install something, just to find that a better version will be released in a couple of days. If someone would clarify for me I would be happy.
Yes, this is the Volume edition you should download. Get it from WZOR's website to be safe. It's the same as the "select" version, just half the size, and comes in two flavors (32/64 bit). The version that will be for sale in the summer is the Retail version which requires both a serial to install and activation. Always go pro as they say.
That's the volume license version of the Professional Plus edition that is available to volume license customers. It requires either KMS or MAK activation. Retail copies will also include both x86 and x64 versions on one DVD but we don't know when those will be leaked or officially released. This will be the version with (hopefully) a permanent crack released soon. It is the final product however it may or may not be the absolutely official MS release given that I doubt they'd use the word "combo" in the official filename. The ISO volume label is "OFFICE14". This has been leaked by Wzor and regardless of whether any other copies leak that were distributed to VL customers with a different filename, the code is RTM. Keep in mind that this version does not contain either Project or Visio, unlike the Select Edition.
Perhaps someone can help me. Whenever I try to download office 2010 from WZOR using Limewire, I get an error: invalid magnet option.
Perhaps someone can help me with this confusion. I DLed from WZOR 14.0.4763.1000_Select_volumn_ship_x64_en-us_dvd.iso when they first released it. Used uTorrent Magnet link and had no problem. However, when looking at the version numbers from within Office 2010 apps -> HELP, the apps are showing 14.0.4760.1000. Did WZOR jip me? I did download the COMBO too, but dont want to go through uninstall/reinstall if it's the same version.
What are the chances that the "select edition" is really a bogus edition released by Microsoft to foil software pirates? I've read that this is something Apple might do to see where leaks are originating from.
Microsoft are still desperate to bring people back from Apple so I doubt they care about the "black market" publicity that piracy is. Besides, they said a while ago that they'd rather have people pirating their software instead of someone else's. I wouldn't put it past Apple to try a stunt like that, even though they're kidding themselves if they think anything can ever be kept secret inside Apple. The Select Edition is just a collection of all the RTM Office applications that are included in the 2010 version. Whether it is an official release that was ever intended to see the light of day, heck knows.
it has been answer before, if you check in about of every single application the build is different for each one of them. to make that you have the correct build, go to control panel/ Programs and Features then you will see the build.
I got Microsoft Office 2010 RTM 14.0.4763.1000 64-bit Volume Edtion ISO from the torrents and installed it successfully. It works beautifully. It has everything including Visio and Project. However, activation is another matter. It can be activated with a KMS key but only for 6 months and after that it has to be re-activated as per Microsoft policy. The problem is it is very possible that you won't be able to activate it at all after the 6 months pass. So at this point, everybody is waiting for a permanent working activation hack. Here is the file info on the ISO's I have that are definitely the real thing for your guidance. 64-bit Build: 14.0.4763.1000 File: 14.0.4763.1000_Select_volume_ship_x64_en-us_dvd.iso Size: 4,018,466,816 byte SHA1: 88E8A16A21C7C71E210282B39C54A0A782637580 MD5: 430A89F6F3FBB2AAB914E22DC1846093 CRC: 312F7C7A 32-bit Build: 14.0.4763.1000 File: 14.0.4763.1000_Select_volume_ship_x86_en-us_dvd.iso Size: 3,490,926,592 byte SHA1: 92F9B3BD1029A1FF524B8A2BD8EF4F7E5C304F5B MD5: 78E007959180C6B8CFE840F1D9312A42 CRC: 1EA98A3F
What is the difference between these releases Microsoft.Office.2010.ProfessionalPlus.VL.Edition.x86.and.x64-ZWTiSO. Microsoft Office 2010 VL Edition-ZWTiSO Why is this the first (two platform 86&64) weighs 1,51GB ,and why the second release have 3.25GB only for x86 ???
Most likely the second one is the Select edition, thats contains both Pro Plus and Standard, and all single install of Word, Excel etc...
Microsoft.Office.2010.ProfessionalPlus.VL.Edition.x86.and.x64-ZWTiSO : this version only contain Pro plus with 32bit and 64bit edition. Microsoft Office 2010 VL Edition-ZWTiSO : this version contain 2 office 2010 suite (pro plus & standard) and some of the office 2010 applications (word, excel, powerpoint....) and it has only 32bit edtion.
You are going to be wating for an awful long time if you think that VL Editions are going to be permanently activated sometime in the future. That is totally untrue and non-sensical. VL Editions can only be activated one way and that is through a KMS Volume Server.
