I was previously running Win10 Enterprise with no (real) issues. It seemed that Pro Edu would be the best option for Win11 (based on other comments). However, I have noticed a few issues that I am not thrilled with: 1) What would be the overall impact to my system and installed programs doing such a switch? 2) EDGE is "Managed By My Organization" 3) When I removed the PIN so it would auto boot straight into Windows, now when I go to check Passwords & sych, it prompts me for my whole email address - Win10 used to just prompt for the System UserName 4) Speaking of the System UserName, it "tuncated" mine - it should be "DeathStalker" (and was on Win10), now it is just "death" - petty, I know, but annoying nonetheless. I tried to correct it with Group Policy - changing the User "death" to "DeathStalker" but then that seemed to break almost every connection - Unknown Acct/User, No User Associated, etc - could not even access the Users directory in Explorer. Fortunately, I was able to change it back and all is fine - just annoying :-( 5) I have no idea if this issue might be specific to EDU vs Enterprise (or Pro), but I have dual monitors - same brand - but they appear to have different "wake up" speeds (older, 2nd monitor is faster - IPS panel vs VA panel for new monitor). Both are FreeSync & GSync compatible - I've tried different Display Ports (DP2.1a cables) and even tried 2nd monitor on HDMI (1.4) - no difference. The windows always go to the monitor that wakes first, then they bounce back & forth. The GPU is an Asus TUF RTX-4070 Super OC. Monitors are both LG (older is 2K SDR, new is 4K HDR) - I can get the model #s if needed). Does anyone have any thoughts on these issues? MUCH appreciated!!!!
The switch would be a simple license switch, not a real re-install: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...other-higher-sku-and-license-switching.85294/
Any ideas on 3, 4, or 5? I should 6) Additionally, after switching monitors (2 to 1) some programs do not display their full graphics until minimized and restored. :-(
