Have tried it ("wushowhide.diagcab"), but it did not detect any problems.

However I have "Give me updates for other Microsoft products...) selected and when deselecting it, update checking works every time

I have MS Office Pro Plus & MS VS Community 2015 installed.

Will rather wait till official release iso this week & do a clean install - cannot select network properties - it crashes along with explorer.

The longer I use this crap W10 the more I hate. I think I'll stay with Windows 8. Freaking auto updates, no info what update fix just some bullcrap "is security patch". I predict that W10 will be big fail.

Lets stay Positive - Windows 10 have a lot of potential going for it & it is still very early - give it 6 months & it should be very solid :D

to correct error 0x8024402f you can try this :
open regedit and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\OSUpgrade, then create a new value dword 32 and call it AllowOSUpgrade then put the value to 0x00000001 and launch windows update.

Thank you Coleoptere2007, I have abandoned the upgrade and installed a fresh copy without upgrading, but the problem did not go away :(
