Hi guys, I have a question....after getting integrate update in to install.win can I convert in install.esd extension? So I could save space into my final iso Excuse me but I've not a good english
Not completely correct. Win 7 Setup cannot process ESD files, but one can use Win 8/8.x ISO with Win 7 install.esd (afaik Win 7 ESD releases by murphy78 do so).
I want create a version of windows Home premium updated that I have...now i must covert install wim in install.esd? I'd like to have a guide? Thanks to all!
i don't understand how to make a esd file for windows 7 with WinNTsetup do you mean that you convert it to VHD and then capture it back to ESD?
iam sorry i mean it another way lol how do you make windows 7 compatible to use esd with winNTsetup lol
WinNTSetup is for WIM/ESD Deployment from Windows PE. To create the ESD use DISM manually or via script, as already suggested by Tito.
i can make a esd file but i want that it "works" in the windows setup so i another way: i want to make windows 7 compatible with esd
As already mentioned Win 7 Setup cannot work with recovery compressed files (ESD), it needs to use Win 8.1 Setup with that Win 7 ESD.
Sorry but I'm not an expert... I've downloaded ESD2WIM-WIM2ESD-v2, extract in a folder called w7.There are a file ESD2WIM-WIM2ESD.cmd and a folder named DISM. In the same folder i' ve added the file install.wim of windows 7. I've lanched the file ESD2WIM-WIM2ESD.cmd how administartor and i've written this: C:\w7\install.wim I clck number 1 The script go but after a few minutes i've this error DISM Image Servicing Utility has stopped working what is wrong? Thanks to all! EDIT: I've resolved using a pc with 4 GB ram!During the process is used many ram that my old pc don't have!Strange but true! Thank to all!!!!
