I have an HP laptop which had Win 8 Home preloaded.
Instantly installed Win 7 Pro and as I could not see a SLIC table in the bios I activated with MTK

Along came Win 10, installed and activated with MTK.

Using the HP NBDMIFIT bios utility I have discovered a hidden SLIC in the bios.

So my question is if I install Win 7 on a separate drive, activate using the SLIC then get a GenuineTicket.xml using the method described in these forums could I convert my existing Win 10 installation to a Digital Entitlement activation.

I'm really trying to avoid re-installing and tweaking everything again.

Thanks in advance for any sugestions.

You could install win7 pro, activate with Daz Win Loader, then upgrade to win10 pro and have the Digital Entitlement activation.

I was hoping to avoid re-installing Win 10 by removing the KMS activation and re-activating my existing installation using the genuineticket method.

I was gona try the same with a PC at home. Disable existing HDD, install W7 on a spare HDD then upgrade to 10. Switch back to origianal and change the Pkey to the retail one for digital entitlement, then connect to internet.

Provided you have a spare HDD lying around, shouldn't be too hard.
