I downloaded some free video tutorials and they are in the .mov format. I used DVD Flick to automatically convert them to a DVD format (.vob files) and burn them to a disk but the video quality was horrible (I was easily able to read the text in the original videos but the converted videos had text the was blurry). What format can I convert the videos to that will keep as much of the original video quality as possible (so I can read all of the text on the video) but also be able to play on a DVD player?
To be honest .vob format is the best quality for use on a dvd player. I think your problem is more likely that the source ( video file ) is poor quality to begin with.
I tried a few .mov to MPEG 2 converters and Xilisoft's converter did the best so I'm using that to convert the videos to .mpg files. Now I just have to figure out how to add all the videos to one DVD.
Convert X to DVD can take multiple titles with option of having subtitles and with/without menu. These multiple titles can be burnt onto a single DVD.
ConvertXtoDVD is an excellent program, you can insert as many movies files as you want, then edit titles one by one, so each individual title appears on the menu. The number of files, will be limited by the capacity of the final media, DVD, DL DVD. Once again, a very good program.
How many hours of .mov files are you trying to squeeze into a single DVD? It could be that you are transfering more than 2 hours and DVD Flick is forced to compress them = losing quality... What are the dimensions of the .mov files/how many pixels? DVD's are 720x576... I'll try and help if I had this info
I almost have tried every thing , now using " Ultra DVD Creator" , it is so easy and so good . Try it .
