As a windows 11 Pro X64 Insider running on non-supported Dell Laptops with only EFI and TPM in my BIOS my current beta version is 22000.194, 1000.22000.194.0 as of 9/26/21 is there a way to convert this to a regular Windows 11 Pro X64 version. It seems that I can run as an insider on this unsupported laptop, but I can't turn off the insider software. I want to run Windows 11 X64 Pro upgraded Windows 10 X64 Pro software on all of my unsupported Dell laptops. Any advice on how to accomplish this?
simple, reload 22000.194 ISO as a clean install with "The Fix". Do that and you have it installed and YOUR NOT on the Insider Program. If you check your update, it will ask you if you want to join.
He probably means this Win 11 Boot And Upgrade FiX KiT v2.0 When clean installed 22000.xxx there won't be any questions to join the IP program, the hotfixes are offered without any IP enrollment. Afaik, only some features will need it to work atm.
Got it in one, do this and it "just Works". No bugs that everyone reports, just a nice stable operating system. I think that a clean install gets around bugs people report with upgrades.
Thanks, I don't need to bypass any requirements. I was curious because I'm catching up on info before release. Since enrollment is not asked or necessary I'm assuming we will be able to use the ISO to clean install and then get the CU(s) on launch day or after.
You assume correctly. On the surface M$ is rolling this out a little different to previous releases. As Manufactureres are already pre-installing W11 and rolling out machines, they are relying on CU's to bring them up to speed. As such there is no real RTM, (although 22000.194 certainly is stable enough on a clean install). So just load the last official ISO M$ releases. oh - I expect a CU in say a week after the official release to bring all new machines up to date at once.
I did clean install on my laptop. same version. UUP DUMP Release. and it regular version. still beta release. just wait for normal Non beta updates.
