Hello, I don't know if this has been asked previously, but what will be the modus operandi for converting a windows 7 installation to windows 10 once the latter hits the market? Will there be a kind of key conversion webpage or will we have to go through windows update ? HAven't seen anything official from MS on the topic. Thanks a bunch
No need to convert @ the moment the keys just working but for the future what will Microsoft do we just have to wait and see
Thanks for confirming lack of info - not interested in the technical preview at the moment but will update when it is officially released.
Hello, There has been a flurry of info recently with the announcement of july 29th etc but I did not see anything about this specific topic anywhere. Anyone have addl info on this? Thanks a lot
your joking, right,it's all over the net and if you read the posts on this forum you will find all the relevant information you need,no need to ask.
Micro$oft will probably want you to do a full upgrade one time so that the OS itself will convert your Key to Windows 10 so anytime after that you can fresh install when you want, The 7/8.1 key upgrade for windows 10 is still foggy but most people say you need a day one upgrade from 7-10
Thanks d1glow. I have a bunch of win7 keys from a former technet account, looks like I won't be able to convert those then if the conversion is a 1-time thing.
