[Solved] Converting $Windows.~BT directiry into Install Media

The $Windows.~BT directory structure created during the 10041 upgrade looks to be the same as on the install media so I decided to dump it to a flash drive but when it booted up it just said that my computer needed to be repaired. Has anyone figured out how to make a full 10041 install media with it?

I think someone was trying this before.
IIRC the OS adds an entry to the Boot Menu which allows it to boot from the $Windows.~BT folder.
In a similar way to the recovery partition

Sorry I can't be more help, but the discussion was way over my head

You can't just dump the folder to a USB to create install media. You can however create a iso image from the Install.wim and then convert it to a USB image.

So where are the rest of the files needed for the iso? In the past I replaced a stock wim with a custom wim or esd, but the 10041 esd isn't working with the 9926 file structure. It gets stuck at the product key screen, not accepting my known good keys.

I'm going to try abbodi1406's script and will report back.

It works flawlessly. The problem is that the downloaded ESD is not just a compressed WIM, it's more like a compressed ISO.

So did you convert the .ESD or make an ISO from the $Windows.~BT folder
