Corrupt Windows 7 HDD?

    Hi guys. Can you guys help me out here: The problem is that I can't boot into Windows & I get this message "Verifying DMI Pool Data...". I'm using a 500GB running Windows 7 RTM. Thanx in advance

    Please give a little more info on your setup.
    Can you see your HD in your bios? If not reset your bios and then check it (If you need help on this then post back the make and model of your motherboard).
    Did you make a hardware change before this happened? Is so undo them and see it that corrects the problem.
    Disconnect your HD and plug it back.
    If you have a spare HD connect it and see it the machine will post.

    Try & see if there is an update for your computer's BIOS. If there is, update your BIOS & try Win7 install again

    I have a Gigabyte G31 ES2C, Dual Core E5300, 4GB Ram, 500GB HDD, Geforce 9400GT. I can see the drives & I'm using the FF Bios. I haven't made any hardware changes so far

    Please help!!

    I couldn't find any Bios updates for the G31M-ESC2, the only updates I could find was F9 & F10(beta) for the G31M-ES2L_Can i flash G31M-ES2C with the G31M-ES2L Bios?

    Is it a modded bios you are using? did it ever boot into windows 7? i don't see the need to reflash your bios if it was working ok. I would try what gentoo suggested try clearing cmos and loading bios defaults and save, check cables.

    It's not a modded bios, bought the mobo 2 months ago & was working fine until now. I'll try the CD boot repair

    Faulty HDD

    So i changed Hard drives & plugged in an 80Gb loaded with XP_Windows boots Successfully! As it turns out I think i have a damaged/faulty 500Gb HDD, but I will download the Repair Disc and try to repair the windows 7 hard drive. Im currently running the 80Gb HDD loaded with Win XP. Thank you all for the Advice & Suggestions you mentioned. I will post my findings after downloading Repair Disc!

    Thanx for the link. The CD has a lot of features, I think I'm gonna download Windows 7 system repair CD & the Hirens boot CD

    I've downloaded the windows 7 repair CD & the Hirens CD. I couldn't fix the HD with the W7 CD but the Hirens CD fixed Windows. Thank you guys
