I've disabled cortana, or so I thought because I notice she's running in the background. Is there a way to stop her from running in the background?

Installed Enterprise LTSB version which doesn't come with Cortana.

I believe Cortana is now the start menu / certain functions of the task bar.

What happens if you kill her process? Does things top working?

Cortana is search, you might be able to stop her in services.msc, but why?

ok i renamed that whole cortana folder right after i stopped the cortana process and it worked. i'd rather do a search in explorer its much better. the search bar didn't find a lot of things, wasn't a very good search for things in my pc

If you want a decent, fast, and free search program for files/folders, google UltraSearch.. no need for any M$ integrated search :)

I installed LTSB too, but as soon as I enter text in the search box SearchUI.exe loads and connects to Microsoft. Try it yourself. I just added a firewall rule to block that exe.
