    Hi,

I've recently purchased a new computer and the cpu cooler is set at a high speed constantly.

I tried lowering the fan speed in the bios with no luck and speedfan didn't work either. I proceeded to open up my case and found that the wire coming from the cpu cooler attached to the motherboard like this...

After a bit of research I've discovered that I need that fourth pin to control my fan speed.

My question is, is there some sort of adaptor I can purchase or another location that I can plug my cpu cooler in to so that it would enable me to control my fan speed because at the moment it is annoyingly loud.

    Thank you.

From the bios make sure CPU fan speed control in enabled and try voltage control mode instead of PWM
