guys i have a bit of confusion in my head because I'm looking for the one processor 478 that supports Windows 8, the model is the Pentium 4 2.8A 511 but there are three models in question .... which one is that supports "execute disable bit "?

    SL7D8 or SL7E2 or SL7PK ?

    thank you!

(had to copy/paste wouldn't let me post the link to intel's website)

You have NX bit there but not VT-x. I think W8 refuses to install without any kind of Hardware Virtualization,
all the 511s have that NX but not VT-x. Hope it helps
    Cheers and merry Christmas!

In September I had tested Windows 8 32bit on an Intel P4 3.2GHz Prescott and was working fine. That machine is still running by the son of a friend.
