Cpu upgrade possibilities - sony vaio vgn fs485b

    hello everybody.
    i own a Sony Vaio VGN-485FS (as in object) and I'd like to upgrade its Intel Pentium M740 CPU; this processor has a BGA479 socket. its "natural" upgrade would be the M780 but i found out that even the Core Duo T2700 has the same slot; so i'm asking, could the Core Duo be compatible as well? or there would be any problem? thanx.

    check for cpu microcode might need an update

    someone might be able to add cpu microcode update to bios ( not me.. rename thread to CPU microcode update needed)
