CPU upgrade

    Hi Guys,

    I have a D945GTP mobo. I was thinking on upgrading the CPU on it but dont want to spend too much money on it. I would like to be able to use about 8 gb in total RAM with it. Can someone plz show me some CPU's for it along with some prices.

    That RAM should work. As far as dual channel goes, as long as the the RAM is installed in matching pairs, usually in the same colored slots, it will work in dual channel mode. If all 4 sticks are identical, then no worries.

    That motherboard only has 4 memory slots, so if you get those 4 1GB sticks, then you will have 4GB total.

    That is a 4gb 1 stick of RAM, so it will be ok, guys?

    The listing clearly says "4x 1GB" so 4GB total with 4 sticks. I'm pretty sure if you go with 4x 2GB sticks it will only show 4GB instead of 8GB due to limitations of the motherboard.
