Ok, this is the first time since a ram stick on my old old ooold xp laptop failed, that I saw a blue screen... This pc is an asus p5n7a-vm mobo with an e5200 at stock 2.5ghz with 8gb ram running win7 x64 This is what happened: Tried to change theme standard aero theme to classic, in order to free up as much ram as possible for photoshop. I only gained a couple of hundred megs, so I reverted to aero. Upon reverting however, I couldn't change the color of the windows, so I clicked on "my themes -> Unsaved theme" and instantly my pc crashed... Did anybody experience something similar?
My ram is brand new ( 1 month, maybe ) ran vista 64 without a glitch. I'm not having any other "bad ram symptoms".
Maybe some other members can shed some light on your situation. I've not experienced any theme changing crashes on x64 or x86.
