    Hello

I would like to create an internet shortcut, I right click on the desktop, new / shortcut
In the window that opens, I indicate an url and when I click on Next, I have an error message that the url file is not found

What can it be due to ?

    Thanks

PS: No problem to create a software shortcut

Make sure, that .url/.htm/.html defaults are registered to you default browser.

Mine is as well, but my default browser is set as such. Is Edge Canary set as your default browser? I might imagine, that Windows might be confused, the default Edge vs Canary (Chromium) version.

For Web Browser, I have Edge Canaty,
But for .url, I have Web Browser (with home icon)

EDIT : I looked on another PC, I also have Web Browser for .url
    And the shortcut creation works
