    Is there no media center with win8?

    ?? It just looks to me your exporting pro then importing pro with a new name? Where does media center get added??

    Can this be activated then or is this only adding WMC to the main installation?

    This doesn't activate it, merely adds it to the install. You could use dism to enter a key though.
    I also like to use this command to add features, like net 3.5. It needs the sxs folder to install it offline.

    Dism /Image:C:\mount /enable-feature /featurename:NetFX3 /All /Source:C:\win8\sources\sxs /LimitAccess

    and to save a step with gimagex, you can use imagex /info to rename the description.


    imagex /info "c:\Win8\sources\install.wim" 3 "Windows 8 Pro with Media Center" "Windows 8 Pro with Media Center"

    Where is Media Center installer?
    Is it from Windows Setup ISO ?

    can you say me how i can capture an wim from C: (online) partition (aka an running win 8) ??
    RecImg gives always an error at 26% ;)
    i wanna capture an new install.wim to replaye with the new one the old one on dvd

    Anyone who has successfully added Media Center to Windows Pro RTM x64 iso care to upload "Window 8 Pro with Media Center" iso to a popular Torrent site for all to share.

    i can't mount install.wim. why?
    when i use command:
    Dism /mount-wim /wimfile:C:\install.wim /index:1 /mountdir:C:\mount
    and it have error:
    please help me

    Try changing the mount directory to another partition if you have one eg: Dism /mount-wim /wimfile:C:\install.wim /index:1 /mountdir:D:\mount

    I just tried to do that with no luck. I might be talking out of my rear, but I *think* something in the activation code requirement changes, because it wouldn't take the backed up copy as legit. but by all means PLEASE try it yourself and report back if it works! I would be delighted in being proven wrong on this one.
