Creators Update not downloading after reviewing privacy settings

    Last week i got the update to review privacy settings, but the creators update did not download, checked for updates last night again, system up to date, why is it not downloading? i set all the privacy settings to OFF, maybe that's the issue.

    I always leave my privacy settings as whatever MS suggests.

    Makes the most sense to me, just thought that the creators update would have started to download immediately after reviewing privacy settings, ques i just gonna have to wait. Also i know i can use update assistant, ISO etc. but I'd like to get it through windows update, thank you for all the replies.

    Upgrade assistant does it the same way as WU, it downloads the combined(sl) esd file and decrypts it to "c:\sources~BT" and upgrades the system.

    Specifically, if you don't share hardware/device data, they do not know if all your devices are compatible with the new build. Hence, you'll get it offered later.

    I don't think they need another Vista debacle (where the problem was mostly incompatible hardware/drivers and less the OS, itself).
