Is there a way to prevent this or do you need to just back them up and replace them every cumulative update? There are 4 frequently used Windows 10 systems in my house and each of them has "send to" shortcuts so we can all right click -> send to each other. Every time there is a cumulative update all of them get deleted.
I delete all the "Send To" sortcuts at... "C:\Users\Dude Guyman\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo\" and "C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo\" ...except to Desktop and Compressed, and they always comeback after updates. I assume certain ones are just hard coded to be created/replaced? I'd say/agree to just copy the ones you want somewhere for backup and chock it up to another in a massive list of typical Windows annoyances.
It is super annoying. I think I will give permissions a try, see what lengths MS goes to manhandle that folder when installing a CU.
