Hi all, I have been working in the I.T industry (retail side) for about 4 years now and i have gotten sick and tired of coming up for reasons as to why i cant: "Stop by when you finish work and fix my pc for free" or "It was working fine until i took it to you 6 months ago, now it stopped working today suddenly so come to my house and fix it for free since its your fault!!!" or "I dont know too much about computers so you have to google search stuff for me and type out a CV for me". I think everyone in retail I.T knows how annoying these "customers" can be, so i would like to know if you guys have a general way to shut them up or at the very least get out of doing whatever they are demanding without getting yourself fired?
Accept your shortcomings. Things will just get worse if you don't! Draw the only logical conclusion and start applying for jobs that don't require people skills!
I can understand your wanting to figure out what people have done to keep their annoyances low. Id suggest being subtle but firm when explaining to your customers what you are okay with doing. [/QUOTE]
I am in the IT industry and we have customers that can drive you nuts but you have to behave normal and give them your service. Ohh.. and start collect money from them. You see theyll stop.
