I've been trying to activate win 7 ultimate on a buddys laptop. I did the bios mod (everything's green with the slic toolkit) and for the life of me cannot get it activated with the OpaTool. 1 day till automatic activation is what windows says on the status

Can I use the Daz Tool just to activate it without using the loader? 2.1 slic is already in the bios.

    Thanks

Yeah, just run it as admin & it will install the correct cert & key for the Slic...

I ran the Loader and now it's activated. I don't understand why the opatool didn't work. I ran the Slic toolkit and everything looks the same.

If I uninstall the loader will it take out the pkey and cert? I'd like to try this again without Daz's help. I've done this on so many computers and don't know why this one is giving me so much trouble.

    Thanks

Probably because opatool is totally outdated and there was not a current certificate for your bios where as Daz loader is up to date.

So what will the Daz loader do if 2.1 is found? Will it just install the pkey and matching cert and that's it?

I found out it does. Thanks for your help

Quick question what will happen if I uninstall Daz?

I did the work in the bios so I wouldn't have to use the loader.

If you have a properly modded SLIC BIOS- and used Daz to just install the cert & key- uninstalling Daz will do nothing.... you'll still be activated.
