Hello When you try to activate WIn10 using an activator and digital license mode (basing on hardware ID) for example HWIDgen or Windows 10 Digital License C# v3.6 is it possible to deactivate it? I tested it on my "test" laptop and digital license were always active after i've had na fresh install of Windows. I tried cmd scripts (slmgr /upk and slmgr /cpky) but it did not work. Do you know any method to deactivate digital license? In my opinion that type of activating Windows is like shot in the foot. If someone decides to sell a computer, the new owner will have windows activated immediately and may report it to certain services . That's why I prefer KMS...
You can insert a generic gVLK (if it's pro or up), but when the generic HWID code is re-inserted it will be HWID activated again. To what services would someone report it? It's a hardware bound activation, saved at msft servers, as long as the hardware is not significantly changed (mainly mainboard).
My only guess is he activated it not fully understanding that the Digital Licence is pretty much permanent and by my guess by the way he is explaining it that if there was a chance that if he was to part with this machine in the future that he was wondering if he could undue the digital activation and retain that activation for another machine. The answer to your question is no, once the machine is digitally activated the licence is bound to that machine and saved on the MSFT server lol unless you work at Microsoft and your job is to maintain that server then your SOL.
For example, if I wanted to sell a computer. When I have digital activation, the new user will have the system activated immediately after installing Windows. A new user may not want this, because he may have his own license key, and besides, if I came across a zealous one, he could report to me that the previous computer owner was using illegal Windows ... I don't know, maybe I'm terrified ...
i know how the HW activation works... thats why i ask why would u want to remove it is a total waste of time.
once it is digitally ativated, you can re-install Windows 10 and it will always be activated. If Microsoft activates your version of 10. It will always be legitimate digital install. No worry about illegal activation with a clean install of 10
Can you re-flash the on-board mac id/serial, *maybe* work - not tested Edit: Only for experienced though best not to try.

It turned into a HWID, you can re-enter the key again, only to see it turning into a HWID again. With MSDM activated systems it will turn into a HWID too.
I don't know where this MAC/serial number crap is coming from but if you want to replace the key in your BIOS, the MSDM table is what you are after. Though I don't of any methods to do so.
Afaik, it's about the HWID, they don't want the HWID, but all inserted keys will turn into a HWID anyway, including systems with a MSDM activation.
And seeing how they are so trivial to generate, it doesn't matter if you sell or gift a PC with a digital license as you can simply generate a new one easily.
