Hello All My son just bought a new laptop with W11 pro and I like to help him de-bloat and try clamping down on telemetry. As I am on LTSC for some time I haven't followed what is possible on Pro versions. Anyone here who could point me in the right direction? Also is there a possibility to convert to LTSC without new install? Thanks
There is some de-bloat projects here I will share some later in this thread 1. [DISCUSSION] NT10 OS 2. MSMG ToolKit v12.0 3. Optimize-Offline Guide - Windows Debloating Tool 4. [PowerShell] Sophia Script for Windows 10 & Windows 11
Thanks@ Dark Monkey 1. I have not come cross yet 2. MSMG, is that for offline only? 3. is offline only 4. sounds good, though never seen Can 2. and 3. be used for the installed 11 pro?
Thanks@ Enthousiast Interesting, I thought 2. and 3. where for offline only? I mean work on the images? I still need to think about and check what we do best for him in relation to backups.
1. Just Download a UUP 22000.1 Base ISO first. 2. Use abbodi1406 UI to integerate updates to in whenever theres a need. 3. Use MSMG toolkit first n remove un needed packages . 4. Use wincert toolkit latest version to remove more packages in green only . i repeat only green is to be removed nothing else. 5. in last use winreducer ex 110 to remove optional fearures then apply preconfigured settings to offline image. For me it resulted in a 6 inbox system apps with 2 modern win apps paint & notepad plus be sure never ever disabke feature experience capability or else will result in no start menu. Thats all i can say & as i am using win11 22000.469 on my laptop it states %windir%\servicing\packages as most minimal ie 584 in numericals. if you are lucky then you will also get the same numerical in packages list of win11 then feel the real experience of a beareboned os on your hardware. either its tpm & secure boot supported or not doesnt matter for me in any secanrio.
Thanks @(\_/)^(\_/) & Carlos Detweiller At this stage I do not want to install another OS on his machine. I will also check your suggestion Carlos. The replies to my question gives me lots of options. Thanks to you all.
