AI's are obviously the best choice as search engines and perplexity seems to have problems rather too often. So I want to use Deepseek (which is called monica) also on Win 7, it already works very well on my very old Win11 laptop. Deepseek can be downloaded from monica.im but it cannot be installed on anything older than Win 10. Instead, a window will pop up and tell you: "The procedure entry point DiscardVirtualMemory could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll." Is there a way around this? Can there be a way around this? Thank you....
Depending on your use case, you may also want to consider something like Grok that just works through any web browser, and doesn't even require an account to sign up for the time being. Also, have you considered running a virtual machine inside your Windows 7 system for edge cases such as this? Could be a Win 10 VM, could be a Linux VM, depending on the application requirements are.
Thank you, I already use Grok for exactly the reasons you also mention... It is not perfect, but better than perplexity and a few others..
