    Hello all!

I accidentally set the default program for a file type that I wish to re-set as unassociated.

So I uninstalled the program. It didn't change the association. So I went through the registry and deleted all the entries for both that program and the file extension (.part). Now it no longer shows in the SET DEFAULT PROGRAM BY FILE TYPE list, however, it still has the icon associated with it (it should have no icon or the default file icon).

I can find no references to this :(

Any ideas? (fwiw, it was accidentally set to open with VLC Player, so that's the icon that it is "stuck" with)

    Thanks!

Try with ccleaner and scan the registry if .part is not associated to an application then it will show it. So clean the registry.

There are no remaining entries of ".part" in the registry.
