Delete Backup folder in C:\Windows\winsxs\Backup is safe or not?

    Somebody can help me answer the question: Delete Backup folder in C:\Windows\winsxs\Backup is safe or not?
    Function or meaning of this folder?
    I want to reduce the size of the windows, but I need safe, not errors.

    I don't delete all winsxs folder, get error when update and.... I just ask delete backup folder in winsxs folder. Safe or not :D?
