I installed TuneUp Utility and didn't like. When I uninstalled it left an entry in the Context Menu of my Recycle Bin icon. "TuneUp Undelete" was left behind and now I'm trying to figure out how to remove it. I restarted it after the install and it's still there
You can try to look in the following locations: Code: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}\shell & /or Code: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}\shell Make a quick backup of the key before you do anything for CYA purposes. .
Ok so I located this in the registry but I am not sure what to do next. Do I change the binary data or do I try to delete that entry? thank you. Supernoob here
okay I exported it but don't know how to either post it in the forum the forum can read or how to send as an attachment. thanks
search properly from the search tab in my computer, you can find there easily or see more options here, you can even contact a expert to recover the data
For those still having that problem, I found an easier way to remove TuneUp Undelete from the Recycle Bin context menu: Open the Registry Editor and search (Ctrl+F) for TuneUp Undelete. You'll be sent to a key like this one I found in my PC Registry: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}\shell\TuneUp Undelete] Delete it, restart the computer and you're done. Don't forget to backup first!
