And before anyone asks, the original 2012/2012 R2 source files are the initial releases (without any updates) from MSDN.
The key came from this R2 ISO. If using this ISO no need to enter the key, or inject the xml. Just make sure your bios is SLIC 2.3 and install.
Maybe the stupidest question ever, but how do you extract the 1.6gb sfv file found on on the link, tried 7z and winrar... Google is not helping... and is this iso also using the x-x-x-x-4GB43 OEM key, really the only key I found for win srv 2012 r2, and isn't working anymore
This is the official Dell DVD an contains the required OEM:SLP key already on the DVD by them. That's where the recently leaks keys came from - for those who use non OEM media and inject the cert and change the key. As for the question on SVF ... there is a ton of information on here already.
Hey, guys, I'm afraid I have a little problem. If I look under System, it says that the version is not activated. With the SLIC Toolkit, I can't find an OEM certificate either. I hope you can help me.
Use this hint while modding - post another screenshot of SLIC Toolkit advanced tab. And do opt for SLIC 2.4.
Thanks a lot, I have now adapted the BIOS. Now the system says that it has been activated. But if I want to look at the certificate with SLIC ToolKit, there is still an error. Is that bad? or Can the ToolKit 3.2 not read the Cert on Win2012?
Thanks for the feedback. No, SLIC Toolkit is still looking for the certificate in the old path, thus Server 2012 or newer aren't compatible with it.
Can you post pic of basic tab from SLIC Toolkit. you can try to change cert to 2.3 and see it activates, OEM cert from cd should works too.
In case you haven't compared, Dell uses same cert for every SLIC revisions. And he did activate the instance once he corrected the SLIC mod.
