Dell Inspiron-1525 blue screen

    Hi all,

    I have a Dell Inspiron 1525. It won't boot so i reinstall the Multi OEM XP which i got it from here. everything install smoothly but when it log the XP Window logo it goes straight to blue screen in less than a second and it reboot. It never pass the XP windows logo. i don't know what the blue screen said since it boot real fast. Please help

    SATA/RAID driver missing? As you said it didn't boot in the first place it might be defective hardware as well... ask Dell ;)

    is that mean Multi OEM Windows XP Pro with OEMScan is missing SATA/RAID driver and plus it's also a hardward problem? how do i install sata/raid since the boot never pass the xp window logo? could it be harddrive issue? thx for the help.

    i didnt ask Dell cuz MDL been helpin me a lot plus lot of smart ppl in here :). dell i had to wait few days to get an answer.

    ok i was reading Dell support and i need to install SATA driver to fix blue screen 1/5000. but how do i install it since window xp boot up never pass the xp logo? even when i do safe mode, it kept restart after a long list loading.

    Those are just possibilities... I can not look into your system from here, you know ;)
    The 'Multi OEM Windows XP Pro with OEMScan' Disc is a general image, so if your system requires specific drivers these might be missing from that generic disc which may have the blue screen as result.

    Press F6 during DOS fase of setup, providing SATA driver using Floppy

    i have no floppy. can it be a cd or flashcard?

    No it can not (This is a feature that is suported since Vista but not for XP)

    I guess you could use Nlite for this purpose. The other options are a bit more daunting.

    when using nlite it create "Last Session.ini", can i delete it out from OS folder?

    yep, it is best to create the iso, then delete it from the iso with poweriso..

    Better to use driverpack integrator to slipstream the mass storage driverpack ~ no more "Last Session.ini" :D
