I have a Dell Inspiron 17R that shipped with Windows 8. I did a clean install, using a generic install key. When I run rweverything, it doesn't show an MSDM table. I've tried get_win8key and got the same results. Before I wiped out the original Windows installation, I saved my Windows 8 key using Nuclear Coffee Recover Keys. This key doesn't work for installation or activation for some reason. I spoke with Dell and they FedEx overnighted a Dell OEM Windows 8 DVD. I run the DVD and it asks for a product key, as if it isn't even a Dell. I'm stumped. Any ideas?

Strange... the key the Recover Keys saved seems to be invalid.

Is there any 'N' character present in the saved key??

    Gotcha!

Probably you used old version of Nuclear Coffee Recover Keys which was unable to decode 8.x serial. Have you changed the mobo by any chance??
