    Hi to all.
I have deep searched the forum, but I did not find any solution, thats why a new post.
I need to change the system UUID on Dell Latitude D630 to a particular string.
As far as I found, there is no DMI/SMBIOS tool working on DELLs, which allows direct edit of this string (or maybe I am wrong?)

The structure of the UUID is (an example)
    0x44 0x45 0x4C 0x4C 0x31 0x00 0x10 0x56 0x80 0x46 0xC4 0xC0 0x4F 0x36 0x48 0x31
The first four bytes is a manufacturers string (DELL) in a simple ASCII format, others are changing according to the Service Tag change. It seems that the UUID is generated and changed by the SVCTAG utility according to some algorithm, so it is definitely writable. But how?

Thanks a lot for any idea.
