Hello all, and thanks for having me in this forum. I am running out of options on this issue. I have a latitude e6410 that I bought a while back. I think my kid was messing around with my laptop and now when I turn the computer on it is asking for an administrator password, and has locked me out of the entire computer. Since, I am not the original owner, dell cannot help me, and I refuse to pay the money to them to have them give me a simple password to get back into my computer. If anyone on here can help, I would greatly appreciate it. Dell will not even do a transfer of ownership because I do not have original sales papers. ST# is 1DHB1M1-1F5A. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. The attempts above did not work. I am still trying to find a way to get past the password. I was thinking of flashing the bios upon boot, but don't know if that will work. If anyone finds a way, please let me know. I would hate to have to buy a new laptop.o_O

most dell models used BIOS.hdr which could be extracted from the exe and used to force bios recovery with END key.. in your case it does not use this method.

Any suggestions on how I can get past this password crap? Wait till there is a fix/bypass? That seems like the only alternative. Or, pay biosremoval.com or w/e it is to get me a password lol.
