    :(
thanks, I am not familiar with the software but I will try it.
Zigorat company the company which provide hardware support for dell laptop wont assist my with this issue and neither dell company.
the only solution they provide me is to buy a new hdd and lose my data :(

I burned mhdd4.6 on a dvd and boot my laptop.
    it shows me three option:
    1- port 1f0h (primary controller)
    2- port 170h (secondary controller)
    3- port 100h (pc-3000 board)

i select one by one and typed the command dispwd or unlock but it says "Drive is not ready".
So what should I do now?
Am i doing the wrong way?

I am in desperate need of help :((

ah to recover the files u need to know the pwd. secure erase does erase it and unlock it. (most brands)
needs to be set to ide not AHCI in bios.. try in a desktop with sata. ( u can hotplug it after it boots dos to prevent ata lock command on boot)

Thanks I read that. hdd won't able to remove it.
I could not remove my HDD form the laptop becuase I am not a hardware pros and secondly the hardware guarantyof Zigorat will be broken.
Today I connected several Commercial service providers but they told me I should bring the HDD out of the laptop in order to fix the issue. they want to change the hdd borad or the chipset!

Then I searched through the net and download HirenCD. By the help of this bootable software I run a linux distrobution called Partedmagic. I execute "Erase Disk" utility but it couldn't erase the disk. After that I execute PCDiskEraser and after 30mins it erase 2% :(
Do you think this software is able to solve the problem?
Now i just want my hdd back :((

Thanks LatinMcG! You saved me days!
I changed the drive to ATA and Now happilly "Dell secure manager" provided me access to the drive by giving the pre-boot password. (enrolling my finger print)
I am using HirensCD to recover my data. Now I am in a safe side :)

I tried to "ATA Password Tools" to reset the password but the software could not detect the drive.
Is there any other method which I could use?
