Dell M1330 Help

    I'm kind of confused on what is necessary for an installation on this laptop. The SHA-1 Checksum for the iso I have is 9018d76cd7eb1098257f8474d9d7d40af948e143(which is hopefully credible)
    From what I can gather there are two methods for activation. 1 using a loader into fooling windows with an act*vator with the right certificate and slic information and another by flashing your bios directly. I am choosing to flash my bios. I've founded the modded bios thanks to nexas and bbsc forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/7347. After that what do I need to do to activate windows. Do I need to use a loader or Will it activate automatically since it will now have SLIC 2.1 or what oem slp key or certificates do I need? Thanks

    You need to install the Dell cert (2.0 is identical to 2.1) and the proper serial number as well

    You need to get the Dell certificate. It's somewhere around these forums...did one not come with the download for the modded BIOS?

    Anyway, the steps are:
    slmgr -ilc PATH_TO_CERTIFICATE_FILE
    slmgr -ipk SLP_PRODUCT_KEY

    Check the Official Windows 7 Repository. It has detailed explanations on how to install the certificates and keys.
