    Hello,

could you please tell me to which chip you connected the programmer to?
I mean which chip on the Optiplex 3020 Mainboard, I am also stuck with the reboot bug at version A02.

    Thank you very much!

Hi, sorry to resurrect an old thread but this is the exact issue I was facing until I found this. The chip that needs flashing on the motherboard is labeled MX25L6473E and you can find it with your phones camera by zooming in. It's at the top of the board, sorry I don't have a picture.

I bought the flash tool and flashed the chip as instructed, it worked, the BIOS changed from A02 to A10, but the problem is not solved. The issue has changed, symptoms are now:
    • Boot time takes 15 seconds before the display turns on
    • A soft reboot does work, but not properly. The system will reboot, there is a 15 second delay, but it does not remember the task it is supposed to perform.
So if you try to update from A10 BIOS to A20 bios, the system will reboot and POST but it will not enter the BIOS update. Previously with A02 bios, the system would not reboot at all and require a hard reset. On a normal system, the system would enter the BIOS update after the soft reboot.

The machine I have is an Optiplex 3020 with a i5-4590.
