Hi, The dell optiplex 620 doesn't come with slic 2.0 & as far as i know, there is no way to insert a slic to the dell machines (with no slic of course). We can only unhide the slic present. I may be wrong. In that case you have to wait for the proper loaders to come out with oem slp keys and cert which won't happen before the october 22. Cheers/Sumit
You can still activate yor Win7 on older Dell it using Slic 2.1 emu. Tested it on Optiplex SX280 with no problems..
Does your bios have SLIC 2.0? What bios version do you have, I'll have a look but I didn't see slic 2.0 in the A11 bios... and Vista is not listed as a supported OS under the downloads for the GX620, if you do have SLIC 2.0 (you may, it was made around the time of the transition perhaps the bios was released then taken down or changed without telling us), we would have to get an uncorrupted bios dump or the file you used to originally flash the GX620, mod it and flash back. We can currently only do this if slic 2.0 is already present though and after checking the available bioses from dell I don't see slic 2.0.... from the bios release notes for the A08 version, It looks like the original release of A08 may have had slic 2.0 but not anymore, if you have it don't reflash....
Or you can use this machine as perfect Mac with OS X 10.5.6 iDeneb it works without any modes! (providing you have 3Ghz SSE3 processor) Even A08 BIOS did NOT have SLIC! So far nothing can be done with these machines sebus
I'm running windows 7 x64 on a GX620 SFF. It is temp activated using windows 7 toolkit 1.8 which will give me enough time to hopefully find a permanent solution. I swapped out the video card for a Saphire with HDMI direct output, bumped up the RAM to 3gb and put a 500gb drive in it for HTPC use.
