Guys, It seems a tonne of forum members seem to be doing a phenomenal job with bios mods. I have a D610 (it seems RW everything doesnt even have a SLIC tab for this), a D620 (RWE shows SLIC 2.0) and a kick-about P4 (with and Award or Pheonix BIOS...one of the 2 anyway, MB is an Abit IC7-MAX3) Can someone please advise as to what my options are with regards to BIOS modding for these 3 PC's? Cheers
the bios for 9400/e1705 it looks like the bis for the 9400 e1705 flashes successfully. i haven't gotten around to installing 7 yet, but Everest shows slick is there.
Shakeyplace, the bios listed in Post #2, are those already modded to 2.1 and just needs to be installed, or do they still need to be modded? thanks for the great work
ok, great thanks...seems like the inspiron 6400/e1505 was tested so i will give it a try do i just double click on the MM061A17.exe file or i need to do something else thanks in advance
Ok, this is easy to follow right up until you start talking about 54h.. where the heck is 54h? Going back to the original guide too, he talks about block 54 there... so that's offset 00000040 + 14 right? Is that the same as 54h?
54h is the hexidecimal notation for 84 bytes, I gotta go out for a few hours then I will enter some code there to show you, it is offset offset 00000050 + 4, big difference...
Ok, haven't tested activating win 7 OEM yet on my Dell 1730, but at least Itunes thinks it a different computer now (oh and BTW, I don't have an OEM Vista on my 1730, an official retail one, so nothing happened with my Vista being active)
