Hi ! I'm asking my question to all modders of this forum because i couldn't find an answer to it anyway. My problem is that i own a Dell T110 server and i had bought a RAID SAS CARD (a true one not software based ones that Dell wants to sells), but, it's not working. Tried the card inside of my main computer and it perfectly works . Asked dell support : they tell me to please go f**k myself ... (pink floyd ) Asked SuperMicro support (which is the manufacturer of the card) : they were really cool and sent me an unofficial BIOS for this card : it couldn't resolve the problem i'm facing. After some research, i'm quite sure the problem is coming from the available server's BIOS "Option ROM memory" avoiding the card to load its BIOS inside it at POST time. I'm ready to pay for this mod, so please, help me !!! BTW, Thanks for your interest !
You know you just can't win Sell the Dell and build a SuperMicro server! Doesn't probably help you I know, but I couldn't resist responding to your Pink Floyd quote PS did your PET110 come with SLIC2.1 already in it? Mine didn't and I'm just trying to work out how to put the genie in the bottle so to speak.
