    Hello all:

A friend has a Dell that came with Windows 8 and an UEFI bios with a 2TB or whatever HD internal. He asked me to help him accomplish the following:

    1) Install a SLIC 2.1 into the UEFI bios
    2) Wipe out Windows 8 to install Windows 7 and Linux
He'd like to use GPT for both Windows 7 and Linux
as well as to use a SLIC activiation for Windows 7 via UEFI

If possible he'd like to have Windows 8 remain installed (yet its partition reduced) so he still has it to play with.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

First, use SLIC ToolKit to check whether SLIC 2.1 exist. If yes, you can install Windows 7 OEM without any cheat. If not, you can use WindSLIC UEFI Injection to activate your Windows 7 x64 OEM.
You can keep its original W8 by installing W7 dual boot with W8. Booth are OK to install W7 on a partition of real HDD or to VHD.
