Nothing can be recommended based on so little information. What is the exact version of this DELL, when was it released, what BIOS version was on the original, what is the DELL Service code/tag What You did, ie what BIOS version did You try to install and how You did it? It would be good to have as much data as possible. Sometimes is even release date very important. PS I was able to find such versions and it is not at all certain that they are interchangeable. is a Dell Vostro 1520 released in 2009, the BIOS I was using was version A04, I was trying to upgrade to A08 via Windows and the power went down and didn't work again
Too bad. I have never had such a problem. To be honest, I also needed to update the BIOS on a DELL Inspiron, a new version just came out. I thought for a long time before I decided to upgrade. But it also worked well and everything was done in about 2-3 minutes. Even other firmware updates were checked automatically before this update began. I can't add anything to your problem anymore, at least not right now. Unfortunately, I also have nowhere to get any Dell Vostro 1520. Currently have just a Vostro 1015 and one DELL Inspiron what was released in 2019, but both are something else. But I still hope you get it to work ...be patient!
