Hi, I've just bought a Dell XPS 13 with Windows 8 preinstalled. I need to format and install Windows 7. I have some questions : 1. Does this laptop come with a DELL SLIC 2.2 ? 2. Can I activate Windows 7 using this SLIC ? How ? I mean... I know how to activate, but what certificate files, etc do I need to use to make it work ?
Thanks for your help redroad. I had already read some of the links, and I have modded and activated some older machines some years ago. It's the UEFI/GPT/SLIC2.2 that I'm not familiar with. I'll read and re-read the links you've provided, do some hands-on tests (which I haven't had time to do yet) and try to figure things out... and I'll come back if/when I have more questions. Thanks.
