    Hello MDLifers,

I have a Dell XPS 400 computer in its original condition. There are three partitions on the drive now, 38MB diagnostic, Main partition where OS in installed, and a 4GB recovery partition that uses a Dell Version of Norton Ghost to restore the factory image to the OS partition.

When modding the BIOS, or changing the MBR by installing windows 7 only to the OS partition, will it affect my ability to Control+F11 to enter the system recovery window when the little blue Dell bar pops up just before windows loads?

    Thank you,
    del

Will modding the BIOS affect the ability to access the recovery partition?
