If you read the forums, lot's of people with Dell's having issues. If you want you can request a BIOS mod in the proper thread.

Yep, the only thing finally worked on mine to apply the BIOS A06 fix from above link and then used 'Orbitz' v1.4 Loader

Many Thanks Shakeyplace! It's kinda wierd to be contacted by you...since you have so much to do! Especially cocking the bios people request. Anyways you're doing a GOOD job for the worlds community:)

I am going to make a post in the reommended tread by you. But on more STUPID question is, when do i know when you've finished the bios?

    Thanks in advance
    Kindest regards

I also have an Xps720 and having issues with validating W7.
I'm new at this, can you provide step on how I can get this to work?
I'm a little reluctant to modd my bois.:(

I tried two loaders and both fail, I installed W7 like 20 times already with no luck.
I have yet to try Daz's loader, I'll give it a try. Thanks..

I hate to have to mod the bios, i'm not familiar with doing that.
Reading a lot on this forum, something to do with SLC2.0.

Yes but which loader did you try? Did you try Daz's loader? do you have any error? please provide a list of loaders you used, and errors you got ;)
You don't need to mod your BIOS.

Forgot the name of the first one.

    I've used Hazar's 7Loader 1.5, yet to try his 1.6.
No errors, just loads and reboots, but not validated.

I will try Daz's tonight when I get home.

That's a current system. The latest BIOS on their website should already be 2.1 since they'll be putting it out with Windows 7 pre-installed and doing Windows 7 upgrades.
