    Hi

I noticed that an encrypted esd file of Windows 10 always has the "Windows Setup Media", "Microsoft Windows PE" and "Microsoft Windows Setup" volume images.

What are these volume images? What are their differences?

    Thanks

    Bye

Well, why don't you continue your conversation after this answer from abbodi1406?

Well, the answer lies within the question itself; there are 4 indices:
    1. Windows Setup Media: Files without boot.wim & install.wim of a standard Microsoft OS ISO
    2. Microsoft Windows PE: boot.wim
    3. Microsoft Windows Setup: Windows setup in boot.wim
    4. Windows: install.wim
