    Hi,
I am on this forum since Windows 7 era and I´ve read through a lot of threads over that time, but I can´t remember, if I´ve stumbled on answer about what is the real difference between for e.g. Windows 10 Enterprise VL vs Windows 10 Enterprise ISO.

Because you can use VL and Retail keys on both editions. So I think that the images have always been the same, only key changes the activation method. Am I wrong?

Former has gVLK (generic Volume License Key for KMS activation) preinstalled, the latter the generic Retail key. Iirc no other differences.

There should be no differences between both.

The above description is applicable for Education, Pro & Server SKUs, as Enterprise is VL only SKU it always comes with GVLK preinstalled.

. Yeah, short check of pkeyconfig info would have showed that there's no Retail channel for Enterprise (only for the EVAL).

Well, technically EnterpriseEval is separate SKU.
