Remember to deselect the option to install the Bing Bar :)

The Directx that you download for Windows 7/8 etc isn't the 'core' directx, the OS already comes with that. Its true the download does come with Directx, but that is for older OS's that don't come with 9.0c by default. Under Vista, 7, and 8 what you are installing is 'managed Directx', basically small extensions to the core Directx. Instead of these extensions being part of one file each, they did it so each newer version included the older version stuff, but the old version was also kept (same thing Nvidia does with Physx). In other words, it installs a lot more than it should. It was for compatibility reasons, but instead of stuffing around like this, the managed directx should just be (as I said) in one file for each function, and the programs when calling that file state they need compatibility for (for example) 'build 5'. That way you keep the download and installed size to a minimum, and say if improved instructions are made in the file, as long as they are compatible with 'build 5', they also apply to programs requiring 'build 5' and all other compatible builds... if that makes sense. This managed Directx should also have been core to the system, since it save distribution and installation with games etc (and the possibility of it not being installed). The same thing goes with the Visual C++ runtimes, definitely should be fully part of the OS, and not a mess of different versions of runtime installers!

there's a terminated file inside DX System Files in your OS, So reinstall windows is the best solution, and when done install my DX then run updates and you've a new OS without DX Bugs ;)
