Disable explorer at startup win 7

    Is there any way to stop explorer from starting on win7?

    I have set up an old pc to run MAME and i'm trying to hide as much of windows as i can.

    Any help is appreciated. :worthy:

    Its not recommended to, its best to just kill explorer after it launches.
    but here's your soultion, you can disable it by the registry editor
    Code:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
    and look at the entry named: Shell There you will have explorer.exe Replace it to blank
